Schisandra przewalskii has a long pruning period in winter and can be pruned from 2-3 weeks after the plant enters dormancy to 1 month before the injury in the second year.

Pruning usually cuts from the obvious buds of the base of the shoot, leaving 1-2 buds or leaving only the base buds trimmed for the ultra short shoots, leaving 1-4 buds for short shoots trimming, leaving 5-7 buds for the middle trim. More than 8 shoots are pruned by long shoots, and 15 shoots are called long shoots.

Schisandra was mainly pruned with medium and long shoots, and was trimmed with long, medium, and short shoots according to plant growth.

When trimming, cut the mouth about 2 cm away from the bud, leaving no sticks within 30 cm from the floor. Before the branches are not fully covered, the main vine extension branches are only cut off the immature part; the side vines are trimmed with medium and long branches, the spacing is 15-20 cm, moderately sparsely cut off the leafy branches, and may not be cut. . The medium and long branches that had been cut off from the previous year should be promptly retracted; to properly increase the amount of remaining buds, the result group could be cut off, that is, two or more result units should be cut at the same position on the side branches.
