The aim of this study was to analyze the ultrasonographic features of the invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast and the causes of misdiagnosis , and to improve the accuracy of ultrasound in the diagnosis of invasive ductal carcinoma of the breast.

The researchers analyzed the sonograms of 62 patients with breast invasive ductal carcinoma confirmed by surgery and pathology. The results showed that 48 patients (77.4%) were diagnosed, 11 patients (17.7%) were confirmed, and 3 patients (4.9%) were misdiagnosed.
