The irrational system is also reflected in the fact that hospitals can discount expensive imported products. The medical equipment purchased by the hospital belongs to the scope of medical insurance reimbursement. Imported products are the key items for medical insurance reimbursement, and the high rebate of imported products is no longer a secret, thus creating a “hotbed” for imported products. There are even a few hospitals that purchase imported products on the instrument procurement book. With the technology still immature and the market tilting seriously, the domestic medical device manufacturing enterprises are in a more difficult situation.

Faced with such a promising development prospect of medical devices, foreign companies are eyeing this piece of fat. Domestic enterprises should seize the opportunity to develop and strengthen the market share of domestically-made equipment instead of being seized by foreign companies.
