When the concentration of the growth regulator is high or when it is repeatedly used, it is prone to cracking. The occurrence of cracking fruit is related to the speed of hypertrophy. Initially, the fruit begins to grow and hypertrophy from the ovary near the base of the sepal, and the tip is slightly weaker. When the growth regulator is treated excessively, the ovary near the base of the sepal is rapidly enlarged and cracking occurs. Normal pollination and fertilization of the fruit, the hypertrophy, slow elongation, generally not easy to produce pod cracking fruit. Growth regulator treatment was carried out in the young bud stage a few days before flowering. Compared with the treatment immediately before flowering or being in flowering, the cracking fruit increased.

Third, the occurrence of conditions: when the growth regulator treatment concentration is too high, all kinds of cultivation of eggplant are prone to cracking fruit. However, due to the speed of fruit cracking and fruit cracking, weak growth of plants is less than that of vigorous growth and development. In general, more nitrogen, insufficient soil moisture, spraying growth regulators at noon high temperature, etc. can promote the formation of pod cracking fruit. After the calyx is broken, the young part of the fruit is exposed, which is easily endangered by pests and diseases and caused by high temperature and strong light, resulting in fruit cracking.

Fourth, preventive measures:

1, the choice of growth regulators. Growth regulators to select the use of anti-decantin to protect the fruit is appropriate, reduce the cracking fruit, petals easily fall off. If the 2,4-D liquid is too concentrated, cracking occurs easily and special attention should be paid when using it. When the growth regulator is treated, it can be mixed with food coloring or sprayed with cotton, wool, etc. as a mark to avoid repeated treatment. The spray treatment is not carried out at high temperatures at midday and young buds.

2, humidity. Generally, a large amount of irrigation after drying causes drastic changes in soil moisture, which will promote cracking, so management must maintain proper humidity.
