Comprehensive control of Verticillium wilt in eggplant

Eggplant verticillium wilt disease, also known as eggplant blight, eggplant half crazy, is one of the major diseases that trouble eggplant production. In recent years, the trend has been increasing year by year. The incidence rate can reach 20% to 30%, and the production can be reduced by 30% to 40%. The year of serious illness can reach 70% or even be overdue. It is an intractable disease that is difficult to control.

The disease can be infested from the beginning of eggplant seedling stage, and most of them begin to show symptoms after flowering and setting in the eggplant, and usually extend from the bottom up or from the side to the whole plant. At the early stage of disease, the leaf margins and veins chlorotic and yellow, and then gradually developed into the entire leaf. At noon on sunny days, the diseased leaves lose water and wilt, and return to normal sooner or later. After a certain period of time, they no longer recover. The diseased leaves are dying and falling, and even serious light culms are formed. The diseased plants are obviously dwarfed and then gradually withered. The vascular bundle of the diseased stem becomes brown, sometimes the whole plant is onset, and sometimes it is half-edged. It is half mad or half yellow.

Verticillium dahliae become the primary infestation source in the coming year with mycelia growing in the soil with the diseased body or attaching to the seed. The germs spread and spread with agricultural activities such as wind and rain, watering, and invade from root wounds or radicle epidermis and apical roots, then multiply in vascular bundles, and spread to branches and leaves, leading to systemic disease. The suitable onset temperature was 19°C-24°C, with more precipitation during flowering, daily average temperature lower than 15°C, long duration, low topography, high humidity in the field, and severe heavy cropping plots.

Integrated control methods: 1. Select disease-resistant varieties, implement rotation crops, add decomposed organic fertilizers and potassium, phosphorus, boron, calcium and other nutrients, spray 99% hymexazol WP 3000 times before sowing The seedbed was re-used 1 time before transplanting.

2. Use 80% carbendazim WP 1000 times or 70% thiophanate-methyl WP 1200-fold with rooting factor, warming factor, free amino acid, nitrate nitrogen, organic nitrogen and calcium 18.5% of other nutrient elements are mixed with 1000-times water-soluble fertilizer, and 250-300 ml of each liquid is poured during transplanting.

3. Pharmaceutical spray. (1) Spraying 50% bromobromoisocyanuric acid wettable powder 750 times liquid + 20% rosin acid copper aqueous solution 1500 times before the onset of the disease. (2) Spray 30% Amethox® Hydrate Aqueous Solution 600 times solution and 80% Ethicactone Emulsion 3000 times solution. (3) spraying 85% of Bactericillium humicillus wettable powder 750 times liquid + 35% benzyl azoxystrobin aqueous solution 1000 times.
