Prevention of postpartum paralysis in sheep
Postpartum diarrhea, also known as calf disease, is caused by the lack of vitamin D and calcium and phosphorus in the body. The nutritional needs of ewes after fertilization are increased, and the ewes' gestation period is generally in the winter. Some farmers are accustomed to allow them to eat straw. Because of severe winter malnutrition, sheep lost their sputum, coupled with low winter temperatures and low light, the sheep’s outdoor activities decreased, and they received less ultraviolet radiation, which could easily lead to osteomalacia due to vitamin D deficiency and imbalance of calcium and phosphorus. Prevention: Feeds that are rich in minerals should be fed throughout the pregnancy. Vitamin D is given at the same time. Prepartum should maintain proper exercise but not excessive exercise, because excessive fatigue can easily cause morbidity. For the diseased sheep, the following drugs should be used for prophylactic injection as early as possible after delivery: 5% calcium chloride 40-60 ml, 25% glucose 80-100 ml, 10% sodium anaphylactoside 5 ml, one intravenous injection. Treatment: When the treatment can be divided into muscle points 20% calcium gluconate solution 25 ~ 50 ml, while intramuscular injection of astragalus polysaccharide injection 10 ~ 20 ml, 1 or 2 times a day for 3 days. Intramuscular injection of 50 mg VB1 plus vitilin glue 8 ml once daily for 5 to 7 days. Pain Relief Patch(Pain Areas)
