A: There are many new shoots in the peach tree and the growth is large. In order to reduce the occurrence of long branches, we should start from two aspects:

â–  Long-cut pruning is carried out during winter shearing, with the main focus of thinning and slowing down, reducing the amount of winter pruning. These measures will ease the tree, disperse the growth forces, produce less branches and grow less, thus reducing the amount of summer pruning.
