Working Principle
Digital thermometers use temperature-sensitive components that are temperature sensors (such as platinum resistors, thermocouples, semiconductors, thermistors, etc.) to convert temperature changes into changes in electrical signals, such as voltage and current changes, temperature changes, and electrical signals. Changes have a certain relationship, such as a linear relationship, a certain curve relationship, etc., this electrical signal can use analog to digital conversion circuit that is the AD conversion circuit to convert the analog signal into a digital signal, and then send the digital signal to the processing unit, such as a single chip microcomputer or PC. For example, the processing unit uses internal software calculations to associate this digital signal with the temperature and display it as a temperature value, such as 25.0 degrees Celsius, which is then displayed by a display unit such as an LED, LCD or computer screen. This completes the basic temperature measurement function of the digital thermometer.The digital thermometer has different accuracy, stability, and temperature measurement range depending on the different sensors used, the AD conversion circuit, and the processing unit. It is necessary to select a digital thermometer that meets specifications according to the actual situation.
