Analysis of Causes for Fracture of Tracked Tractor Front Beam

In recent years, the phenomenon of fracture of the front beam of crawler tractors has occurred from time to time. Take common models as an example to analyze the reasons. 1. Improper use, such as sudden start, sudden braking, high speed on rough roads, no deceleration when crossing ridges, ditches, fields or other obstacles, frequent high-speed turning, turning with load or turning in place, bulldozing During the operation, thrusting, hard punching, etc., make the front beam subject to strong impact and vibration. 2. Poor maintenance (1) Improper track length. Sometimes the track is too short, so that the buffer spring over-compression, sometimes due to track too long and adjust the guide wheel to the front dead center, these two situations will make the role of the buffer spring weakened or lost, such as when walking To obstacles, the front beam turn hole will be damaged due to excessive impact. (2) The shaft was stuck. Due to the timely lubrication or poor lubrication of the bushing, the turning shaft of the steering wheel is jammed in the bushing. When the tractor encounters an obstacle while driving, the turning shaft cannot be flexibly reciprocated back and forth. The impact force acts on the front beam directly. The hole in the turning shaft causes the front beam to crack. (3) The bolts fastening the front beam are loosened. Due to the lack of frequent inspection of the fastening of the front girder, the front girder was not tightened in time after loosening, so that the front girder was shaken in the frame girder. When the tractor encountered obstacles, the front girder was affected. Large impact force easily breaks at the shaft hole or screw hole. (4) The turning shaft is shaken in the shaft sleeve. Because the maintenance is not timely and there is no regular inspection, the turning shaft and the shaft sleeve are seriously worn, the turning shaft is shaken in the shaft sleeve, and the tractor encounters obstacles while driving. At the moment, the front beam breaks at the hole of the shaft and is subject to severe impact and cracks. 3. Unreasonable installation (1) Forced installation after deformation of the beam. The deformed part of the girder is mainly in the front part of the girder, and it shows outward bending or twisting. When installing the front girder, it is forcibly tightened with bolts to make the front girder prestressed. When the tractor guide wheel is subjected to impact force, it is more likely to cause damage to the front girder. (2) The main reason for the fracture of the anterior beam is the hard line resetting after the fallout of the track. Because it is difficult to dismantle the track at the work site, most drivers use the padded method to forcibly tighten the track and start the tractor to push the guide wheel and the roller to the walking track of the track. In this way, the force acting on the turning shaft of the guide wheel will be very large, resulting in the deformation of the turning shaft, the guide wheel, the adjusting screw, and the rear shaft, thereby causing the front beam to break. 4. As a result of the comprehensive action, the front beam fracture is often not the result of a momentary effect of one of the above factors, but is gradually formed by the repeated action of various factors. What needs attention is that the front beam fracture has an effect on the parts that are related to it. After the front beam breaks, the front end of the frame loses its stability, weakening the frame rigidity, gradually deforming the frame under the effect of load force, and further deforming the crankshaft and guide wheel to adjust the screw. In addition, the front beam breakage also has an adverse effect on the leading wheel, drive wheel, rear axle, and large and small reduction gears.
